Community Education

PREPARE. PREVENT. PROSPER.

Overview

West Metro Fire Rescue's Community Education Programs provide our residents with life saving information and teach skills that keep individuals and families safe in every stage of life. These programs include individual services, group presentations, and community events.

We are here to serve all generations.

West Metro partners with our elementary, middle and high schools to deliver age appropriate safety programs to our youth.

Through our community events and our kids club, we provide fun activities and educational resources that help parents keep their kids safe at home, when at play, and while in the car. We also offer an educational course for youth who misuse fire.

Our adult programs focus on fire and injury prevention at home and in the workplace, fire extinguisher training, emergency preparedness, and how to respond to emergency situations in all phases of life.

West Metro Fire Rescue’s community education programs are made possible through partnerships with local agencies, local businesses, our stakeholders, community/corporate volunteers, sponsorships, and donations. We employ a cadre of certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians, trained Speakers Bureau Presenters, a team of Youth Fire Setter Intervention Specialists, our Fire Investigations Team, and our on-duty fire crews to deliver our programs.

Please feel free to contact us via email or at (303) 989-4307 for more information regarding these programs.
