COVID-19 Notice

NOTE:  Effective March 10, 2020, West Metro Fire Rescue will suspend participation in any community activities outside of emergency response due to COVID-19.  All station tours and apparatus visits are canceled indefinitely.  Once the order is lifted, the link to schedule station tours and request fire engine visits will be restored.   We apologize for any inconvenience.  Thank you for understanding our need to keep our firefighters and community safe. 

Community Involvement

Service Hours:

 
We encourage High School and College Students to volunteer at our annual Family Fire Muster in September. 
 
Please note: 

  • WMFR does not offer volunteer positions for operational roles or for firefighter career preparation.
  • We do not have any volunteer positions for court ordered community service.

Donations:


Please feel free to support our community education programs with a donation.  Checks can be made to: "West Metro Fire Rescue" and mailed to: West Metro Fire Rescue, 433 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80226. Please write “Community Education Programs” in the memo line and include contact information for a donation acknowledgement letter. 

 

Product Donations:


West Metro Fire Rescue accepts donations of new stuffed animals for the Teddy Bear Clinic at our annual Family Fire Muster.  We cannot accept any other product donations.  Please take donations of used toys, furniture and other items to a local charity. 

 

Flag Retirement:


West Metro Fire Rescue is not able to accept donations of used American Flags.  Please contact the American Legion regarding the retirement of used flags.
