Community Safety Events
In addition to hosting our Family Fire Muster, West Metro Fire Rescue attends safety events hosted by other agencies. Look for us at the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival Parade, International Walk to School Day events, the City of Lakewood's Senior Resource Fairs and more.
We typically send a fire engine for one hour "in service" to approved events located in our district. Please note that crews still need to respond to any emergency calls that come in during their scheduled visit. A designated parking space is required so the engine can leave immediately if a call comes in. Because our crews remain "in service" during events, they cannot be scheduled to staff event activities or judge contests. Thanks for understanding that while we love to get out in the community, emergency response is our first priority.
